The following camps are facilitated by the SMART-Center, the hands-on science outreach serving the Northern Ohio Valley since 1996.  The SMART-Center is a member of the Association of Science and Technology Centers.

GEMS (Girls Enjoying Math and Science) Camp Printable Application                  

                                                                                             June 20 and June 21, 2011

For girls entering grades five through eight                         8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cost $60 with snacks and lunch provided with the fee.

Learn and have fun at the same time with other girls who love science.  Join an all female staff with activities and experiments in many areas of science.

 

 

Moon and Mars Camp  Printable Application             July 11 and 12, 2011

For students entering grades 3-7                                    1:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Cost $60 with snacks, cook out supper, pool and mini-golf admission, and materials included in fee

A variety of space science activities will make this outdoor experience a great one for any student.  Rocket building, gravity simulation, and planet activities will be only part of the fun filled activities.  The afternoon through evening camp will take place at Brooke Hills Park near Wellsburg and conclude each evening with a family StarWatch.  View the Moon, Mars, Venus, and Saturn through telescopes provided.  New activities for return campers!

 

 

Fun with Physics Camp   Printable Application          August 8 and 9, 2011

For students entering grades 2-7                                    8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Cost $60 with snacks and lunch provided with the fee.

Build a physics toy, play with magnets, and explore the fascinating world of physics. All activities are grade level appropriate, safe, and fun.  New activities this year for returning students!
